This trial is looking for healthy adults to participate in a study about how blood flows in the brain while thinking. Participants will do tasks that involve using their vision and memory while undergoing brain imaging scans.

You may be able to join if

  • I am a healthy adult aged 18 to 65 years
  • I have at least a high school education
  • I can read and write in English

You may not be able to join if

  • I have had a major medical, neurological, or psychiatric illness
  • I have had a serious head injury
  • I have a learning disability, or have abused drugs or alcohol in the past 3 months except nicotine
  • I am taking prescription drugs or supplements that may affect brain function
  • I have serious vision or hearing problems
  • I am pregnant or have a positive pregnancy test
  • I cannot lie flat on my back for up to 3 hours

About This Trial

The purpose of this study is to use brain imaging technology to measure changes in blood flow to areas in the brain as individuals perform intellectual tasks. This study will use functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to examine blood flow to areas of the brain as participants engage in tasks associated with visual perception, visual recognition, and memory.
