This trial is looking for women at high risk of developing breast cancer. Participants will undergo risk assessment and possibly have blood drawn and a mammogram.
You may be able to join if
- I am a woman aged 30-65 or I am within 10 years of a family member's breast cancer diagnosis.
- I have at least 2 times the normal risk of developing breast cancer.
- It has been more than 6 months since I took any antihormonal therapy.
- It has been more than 1 year since I was pregnant, breastfeeding, or had chemotherapy.
- I am willing to have a mammogram within the last 6 months.
- I am willing to stop taking NSAIDs or herbal supplements.
- I am willing to have blood drawn.
You may not be able to join if
- I have a current metastatic cancer.
- I have breast implants or a tram flap reconstruction.
- I have had radiation treatment to both breasts.
- I have a current mammogram or breast exam that is suspicious for cancer.
