Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for healthy adults ages 18 to 65 to help understand how immune cells respond to different signals. Participants will donate some blood, which will be analyzed to learn more about inflammation responses.

You may be able to join if

  • I am a healthy adult aged 18-65.
  • I weigh at least 110 pounds.
  • I am not pregnant.
  • I am HIV negative.
  • I am hepatitis B and C negative.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have felt ill in the last 24 hours.
  • I have consumed alcohol in the last 24 hours.
  • I visited the dentist in the last 24 hours.
  • I had a doctor visit for illness or vaccination in the last 2 weeks.
  • I have diarrhea in the last 2 weeks.
  • I have recurrent fever.
  • I have a bleeding disorder.
  • I am HIV positive or hepatitis B/C positive.

About This Trial
This study will investigate the response of immune cells (neutrophils, monocytes) to various signals in the test tube to determine how they sense the signals in the body and what substances they produce in response to them.
