This trial is looking for people who experienced sudden unexplained death or had someone in their family die suddenly. Participants will undergo genetic testing as part of the investigation into the cause of death.

- I am between birth and 45 years old.
- I have had a sudden death that is unexplained.
You may not be able to join if
- I have died due to murder, suicide, or an external event.
- I have a known chronic health condition that caused my death.
- I have experienced heart, kidney, liver, or lung failure.
- I have been diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
- I have had a heart attack.
- I have had a stroke or a mini-stroke.
- I have had open heart surgery.
- I have a history of severe drug or alcohol abuse.

Inclusion Criteria:
* Index case age between birth - 45 years
* Clinical presentation of sudden / unexplained death (believed to be cardiac in nature OR secondary to a massive unprovoked pulmonary embolism with no prior diagnosis of prothrombotic disease)
