This trial is looking for patients who have severe coronary artery disease and are scheduled for bypass surgery. Participants will help researchers understand how specific proteins in the heart work.

- I have been diagnosed with severe coronary artery disease

- I am under 18 years old
- I cannot provide informed consent
- I have known active myocarditis
- I have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
- I have constrictive pericarditis or other significant pericardial disease
- I have severe pulmonary hypertension
- I have significant renal impairment
- I am pregnant
