Who this trial is looking for
This trial is looking for teenagers aged 12 to 18 who are dealing with obesity and pain. Participants will join a weight management program that also focuses on treating pain to help improve their treatment outcomes.

You may be able to join if
- I am between 12 and 18 years old
- I can speak, write, and read in English
- My parent or guardian can speak, write, and read in English
- I have signed consent and assent with my parent
- I am enrolled in a weight management program
- I have a pain score greater than 3 on the Pain Burden Inventory
- I report musculoskeletal pain
You may not be able to join if
- My parent or guardian cannot participate
- I am taking weight reducing medications
- I have a severe psychiatric illness
- I have had suicidal thoughts or been hospitalized in the past 6 months
- I have Type 1 diabetes

About This Trial
Pediatric weight management efficacy is impacted by failure to complete treatment protocols and, for those that do complete treatment, a return to unhealthy behaviors. This project tests whether treating pain, a common comorbid condition to pediatric obesity, will enhance treatment. * Males and females between 12 and 18 years of age
* Ability to speak, write and read English
* A parent or guardian who speaks, writes and reads English
* Signed consent and assent from the child and parent
* Enrollment in a weight management program
