This trial is looking for adults with advanced lung cancer that has a specific genetic mutation. Participants will receive a combination of two treatments to see how they work together and their effects on the cancer.

You may be able to join if

  • I have been diagnosed with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer.
  • I am at least 18 years old.
  • I have a specific mutation in the EGFR gene.
  • I have measurable disease based on imaging tests.
  • I am currently taking osimertinib 80 mg daily.
  • I can provide tissue samples for research.
  • I have consented to participate in the trial.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have not completed previous cancer treatments without side effects.
  • I have not had significant liver issues.
  • I have not experienced severe allergic reactions to medications.
  • I have not had a recent acute illness affecting my ability to participate.

About This Trial
This phase I/Ib trial studies the side effects and best dose of alisertib when given together with osimertinib in treating patients with EGFR-mutated stage IV lung cancer.
