This trial is looking for people who have been diagnosed with early to mid-stage colorectal cancer. Participants will undergo stool tests to see if it can help identify cancer and polyps compared to standard methods.
You may be able to join if
- I have been diagnosed with stage I, II, or III adenocarcinoma of the colon or rectum
- I have had a preoperative colonoscopy
- I have had bowel surgery and may have received additional treatment like chemotherapy or radiation
You may not be able to join if
- I have stage IV colorectal cancer
- I have had subtotal colectomy or total proctocolectomy
- I have inflammatory bowel disease like ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease
- I have a polyposis syndrome like Lynch syndrome or familial polyposis
- I have advanced adenomas that were not removed during my preoperative colonoscopy
- I cannot provide informed consent
- I cannot understand spoken and written English
- I have other health issues that would interfere with sedation or follow-up care
