Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for adults with gastroparesis symptoms to see if there are issues with the pyloric sphincter. Participants will undergo specific tests to assess their condition and will need to avoid certain treatments before visits.

You may be able to join if

  • I am between 18 and 85 years old.
  • I have symptoms of gastroparesis.
  • I have a Gastroparesis Cardinal Symptom Index score of at least 2.0.
  • I had a gastric emptying test in the last 6 months.
  • I am willing to follow study procedures.
  • I can provide a signed consent form.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have had previous surgery on my esophagus or stomach.
  • I have a known history of achalasia or esophageal stricture.
  • I have a significant gastrointestinal obstruction.
  • I have severe chronic pulmonary disease.
  • I am currently pregnant.
  • I have a history of eating disorders.
  • I have chronic renal insufficiency.
  • I have allergies to eggs that prevent sedation.
