Cirrhosis registry of consecutive adult consenting patients hospitalized with liver cirrhosis in the tertiary liver unit

Inclusion Criteria:
* liver cirrhosis (primarily on clinical grounds)
* decompensating event leading to hospital admission
* informed consent
Exclusion Criteria:
* declined consent
