Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for patients with advanced melanoma or head and neck cancer that may have spread. Participants will take two medications, cabozantinib and nivolumab, to see how effective they are at treating their cancer.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?
Must be taking Antiretroviral therapy for HIV (if applicable)
Rules you out Active autoimmune disease

You may be able to join if

  • I have stage III or IV melanoma or head and neck cancer.
  • My cancer is unresectable, recurrent, or metastatic.
  • I have measurable disease.
  • I have received prior PD-1 therapy and my disease has progressed.
  • I am at least 18 years old.
  • I have a performance status of 0 or 1.
  • I can take oral medication without breaking or crushing it.
  • I have recovered from previous treatments.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have had a heart attack or blood clot requiring treatment in the last 90 days.
  • I have an active infection requiring therapy.
  • I have received certain radiation treatments recently.
  • I have had significant bleeding issues related to my cancer.
  • I have any significant organ dysfunction.
  • I have a history of hemoptysis in the last 90 days.
  • I require medications that may increase bleeding risk.
  • I have active autoimmune disease requiring treatment.
