This trial is looking for children with chronic kidney disease and protein in their urine to test a new treatment called Finerenone. Participants will need to meet certain health requirements and be on specific medications.

You may be able to join if

  • I am between 6 months and 17 years old.
  • I have chronic kidney disease.
  • I have high protein in my urine.
  • I have stable kidney function.
  • I have been treated with ACE inhibitors or ARBs for at least 30 days.
  • I have normal potassium levels.
  • I am in CKD stage 1-3.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have had planned urological surgery.
  • I have hemolytic uremic syndrome diagnosed in the last 6 months.
  • I have nephrotic syndrome and received albumin infusions in the last 6 months.
  • I am a candidate for kidney transplantation.
  • I have an existing kidney transplant.
  • I have serious kidney problems requiring dialysis in the last 6 months.
  • I have high blood pressure stage 2.
  • I have low blood pressure.
