This trial is looking for children with ear infections or ear pain. Participants will help researchers see if a new imaging technique can improve diagnosis for these conditions.

- I have an ear infection or ear pain
- I speak English
You may not be able to join if
- I have craniofacial abnormalities
- I have diagnosed immunologic abnormalities
- I have congenital syndromic conditions
- I currently have functioning ear tubes

Check Your EligibilityThe purpose of this project is to see if optical coherence tomography (OCT), a new technology acting as an ultrasound for the ear, facilitates accurately diagnosing acute otitis media (AOM) and otitis media with effusion (OME) in children. Clinical diagnoses made using solely otoscopy will be compared to those made with the addition of OCT.
