This trial is looking for adults who have had a specific type of stroke and need a procedure to remove a blood clot. Participants will compare two ways of providing sedation during the treatment.
You may be able to join if
- I am 18 years or older
- I have been diagnosed with an acute ischemic stroke
- I have a NIHSS score of 4 or higher
- I need a thrombectomy according to my doctor's protocol
- I can give permission to participate or have a legal representative who can
You may not be able to join if
- I have had a brain bleed
- I am in a coma when I arrive at the hospital
- I have severe breathing problems that require immediate intubation
- I am already intubated before joining the trial
- I have severe heart problems that are unstable
