This trial is looking for adults with Type 2 Diabetes or healthy individuals. If you join, you will participate in two study days involving tests and possible treatment with a supplement for 14 days.

You may be able to join if
- I am between 18 and 80 years old.
- I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
- I am otherwise healthy with no more than 1 cardiovascular risk factor.
You may not be able to join if
- I have uncontrolled hypertension.
- I currently use tobacco or have used it in the last 6 months.
- My BMI is greater than 35.
- I have hyperlipidemia.
- I have hypercholesterolemia.
- I have type 1 diabetes.
- I have a history of heart failure.
- I am pregnant.

The goal of this clinical trial is to examine the role of autophagy on microvascular function in adults with Type 2 Diabetes. The main question it aims to answer are:
* Does presence of Type 2 Diabetes reduce autophagy and impair microvascular function?
* Does exposure to high glucose impair autophagy and subsequently microvascular function?

Inclusion Criteria: Participants must be between 18-80 yrs. of age and will be delineated into two groups
* Clinical Diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in accordance with American Diabetes Association (ADA) guidelines (Type 2 Diabetic group)
