Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for postmenopausal women who have been treated for stage I-III breast cancer and have received chemotherapy within the last year. Participants will take fisetin, a natural substance, to see if it helps improve physical function.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

You may be able to join if

  • I am a postmenopausal woman.
  • I have been treated for stage I-III breast cancer.
  • I have received chemotherapy within the last 12 months.
  • I do not have active or recurrent breast cancer.
  • I have a frail health status with a short walking distance.
  • My platelet count is above 60,000/mm³.
  • I understand and am willing to sign an informed consent.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have had cancer-directed treatment within 30 days.
  • I have had surgery or radiation within the last 30 days.
  • I take prohibited medications and cannot stop them.
  • I have taken herbal medications with senolytic properties recently.
  • I am on therapeutic doses of anticoagulants.
  • I have trouble taking oral medication.
  • I have another condition that could affect my safety in this trial.
  • I am currently in another research study.

About This Trial
This phase II trial tests whether fisetin works to improve physical function in women who have received chemotherapy for stage I-III breast cancer treatment. Fisetin is a naturally occurring substance that is found in strawberries and other foods. Fisetin eliminates cells that have undergone a process called senescence.
