This trial is looking for adults who have had a stroke and have weakness in their arms. Participants will receive Vagal Nerve Stimulation to see if it helps them recover better.

You may be able to join if
- I am 18 years old or older
- I have a history of ischemic stroke
- I have upper extremity weakness
- I am willing to comply with the program procedures
- I can provide a signed and dated consent form
- I plan to undergo VNS implantation
You may not be able to join if
- I have had adverse reactions to anesthetics
- I am not a good candidate for surgery according to my surgeon
- I have had prior injury to my vagus nerve
- I have a personality disorder or psychosis
- I have a substance abuse issue
- I am medically or mentally unstable

About This Trial
Vagal Nerve Stimulation is a novel proven therapy for patients with chronic ischemic stroke. The primary objective of this registry is to assess the safety of vagal nerve stimulation for stroke recovery through monitoring the occurrence of serious adverse events associated with the surgical procedure or subsequent paired rehabilitation protocol. Inclusion Criteria:
* Provision of signed and dated informed consent form
* Stated willingness to comply with all procedures in the VNS-Enhanced Stroke Recovery Program
* Aged 18 or older
* History of ischemic stroke
* Upper extremity weakness
* Planned to undergo VNS implantation
