This trial is looking for adults aged 18 to 75 who have had an acute ischemic stroke and are undergoing treatment with a medication called alteplase. Participants will receive a combination of levofloxacin and standard treatment to assess its effectiveness and safety.
You may be able to join if
- I am between 18 and 75 years old.
- I have had an acute ischemic stroke.
- I am receiving intravenous thrombolysis treatment with alteplase.
- I had good function before the stroke.
- I have a certain level of stroke severity.
You may not be able to join if
- I have had endovascular treatment.
- I have used certain medications like glucocorticoids or antiarrhythmic drugs in the last 14 days.
- I have certain other serious health conditions.
- I have severe liver or kidney problems.
- I am currently infected.
- My blood sugar is too low.
- I have had a brain bleed confirmed by imaging.
- I am allergic to fluoroquinolones or similar antibiotics.
