Inclusion Criteria:
* elective bariatric primary or revision procedures and hiatal hernia repair procedures for all indications.
Exclusion Criteria:
* emergency surgery, reoperation within 30 days
* patients who are taking pain medications (narcotics) daily preoperatively for whatever reason
