This trial is looking for people who have long-term lymphedema caused by breast cancer. Participants will compare the quality of life after surgery versus just conservative treatment about a year later.
You may be able to join if
- I am at least 18 years old.
- I have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
- I have chronic lymphedema lasting more than 3 months.
- I have completed at least 3 months of conservative therapy.
- I can fill out quality of life questionnaires.
- I am willing to undergo surgery.
You may not be able to join if
- My doctor does not think I need lymphatic surgery.
- I have primary congenital lymphedema.
- I have had previous surgery for lymphedema on the same side.
