This trial is looking for veterans with PTSD who have thoughts of suicide and have harmed themselves recently. Participants will receive specific therapy to help improve their PTSD and reduce suicidal thoughts.

You may be able to join if
- I have PTSD
- I have harmed myself recently
- I currently have thoughts of suicide
- I have trouble managing my emotions
- I am a veteran eligible for mental health care
- I am willing to participate in all study activities
You may not be able to join if
- I cannot keep myself safe on my own
- I have received enough DBT or PE therapy in the past year
- I plan to move away or be unavailable for more than 4 weeks soon
- I cannot understand the study procedures due to language or cognitive issues

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a significant driver of suicide risk among Veterans, but there is a critical knowledge gap about how to treat PTSD among people at elevated risk for suicide. * PTSD
* Recent and repeated self-directed violence
* Current suicidal ideation
* Emotion dysregulation
* Veteran eligible for VHA mental health care at participating site
* Willing to participate in all study activities
