This trial is looking for people who are having an elective cesarean section and want to help compare different pain relief methods. Participants will receive one of several types of nerve blocks for managing pain after their surgery.

You may be able to join if

  • I am between 18 and 40 years old
  • I am at least 37 weeks pregnant
  • I am healthy enough to have surgery

You may not be able to join if

  • I have refused to participate in the trial
  • I cannot understand the study

  • I have a bleeding disorder
  • I am allergic to any medications used in the trial
  • I have health issues that are severe
  • I need an emergency surgery
  • I have used opioids regularly in the past 3 months
