This trial is looking for adults with bleeding internal hemorrhoids who have not found relief from regular treatments. Participants will undergo a procedure called rectal artery embolization to see if it helps improve their symptoms.
You may be able to join if
- I have grade II or III hemorrhoids diagnosed by a doctor.
- I have ongoing symptoms despite hygiene or medication.
- I have bleeding as a primary symptom, with or without pain.
- I am an adult over 18 years old and can give written consent.
- I have a negative pregnancy test if applicable.
You may not be able to join if
- I have had surgery for hemorrhoids before.
- I have grade IV hemorrhoids.
- I have acute complications from hemorrhoids.
- I have chronic anal or perianal fissures.
- I have had colorectal surgery or pelvic radiation.
- I have inflammatory bowel disease.
- I have portal hypertension or issues with mesenteric veins.
- I cannot use iodinated contrast.
