Who this trial is looking for
This trial is looking for adults in rural areas who are at risk of diabetes. Participants will compare two ways of accessing a diabetes prevention program and may need to travel for meetings and testing.
Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?
You may be able to join if
- I am 18 years or older
- My BMI is 25 or higher, or 23 or higher if I am Asian
- I have prediabetes based on recent blood tests or a past diagnosis of gestational diabetes
- I can travel to the KSRE site for orientation and tests
- I am able to attend scheduled meetings
- My doctor says I am medically stable
- I speak English
You may not be able to join if
- I have been diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes
- I am taking weight loss medications approved by the FDA
- My doctor advises me not to participate
- I am currently pregnant or gave birth within the last 6 weeks
- I plan to become pregnant in the next year
- I cannot engage in physical activity

* Age 18 years or older
* BMI ≥25 kg/m2, ≥23 kg/m2 if Asian
* Blood test results in the pre diabetic range within the last year (HbA1C = 5.7%-6.4% or fasting plasma glucose= 100-125 mg/dl or 2-hr. plasma glucose following a 75-gm glucose load = 140-199 mg/dL) or have previous di…
