Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for Black teens aged 10 to 14 who have type 1 diabetes. Participants will receive family support through a mobile health program to help manage their diabetes better and improve family relationships.

  • I am between 10 and 14 years old.
  • I have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
  • I have had diabetes for at least 6 months.
  • I am Black.
  • My primary caregiver is willing to participate.
  • I live within 30 miles of a recruitment site.
  • My caregiver has access to an internet-enabled device.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have a mental health condition that might affect the study.
  • I have another medical condition that affects my diabetes management.
  • I cannot speak or read English.
  • I am in out-of-home placement.
