This trial is looking for young people with newly diagnosed Type 1 diabetes and healthy individuals to compare their immune cells. Participants will have their blood sampled to help researchers understand the disease better.

- I weigh at least 12 kg
- I have been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes
- I am a member of a health insurance scheme
- I can understand and read French
- I have parental consent

- I have used corticosteroids in the past month
- I cannot use anaesthetic cream for blood sampling
- I have any other inflammatory or autoimmune disease

About This Trial
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is caused by an autoimmune response leading to the destruction of pancreatic beta cells. The disease association with particular HLA class II alleles, particularly HLA-DQ8, indicates the implication of CD4 T cells in its aetiology. Inclusion Criteria:
Newly diagnosed T1DM group:
* Age ≥ 2 years and \< 18 years on day of inclusion;
* Weight ≥ 12 kg;
