This trial is looking for children and teenagers with rhabdomyolysis. Participants will receive dexamethasone along with standard treatments to see if it helps improve their pain and hospital stay.

You may be able to join if

  • I have been diagnosed with rhabdomyolysis.
  • I am 12 years old or older.
  • I can understand and sign a consent form.

You may not be able to join if

  • I am already taking steroids.
  • I cannot follow study instructions.
  • I have an uncontrolled illness or mental health issue.
  • I am pregnant.
  • I am younger than 40 weeks old.
  • I am allergic to fluconazole, clotrimazole, or nystatin.
  • I cannot take medications by mouth.

Inclusion Criteria 1. Diagnosis of rhabdomyolysis defined as creatine kinase\> 5000 with trauma excluded 2. Ability of parents/patients to understand and the willingness to sign a written informed consent document. 3. Patients ages 12 and older will sign written assent Exclusion Criteria: * Alrea…
