This trial is looking for adults with prediabetes and obesity. Participants will use new treatments to help control blood sugar levels and lose weight while the study team monitors their health over six months.
You may be able to join if
- I have been diagnosed with prediabetes in the last 6 months.
- I am at least 18 years old.
- I have a BMI between 25 and 40.
- My blood pressure is less than 160/100.
- My blood test shows HbA1c between 5.7% and 6.4%.
- I have a stable body weight over the last 3 months.
- I am Hispanic.
- I am able to take medications for up to 6 months.
You may not be able to join if
- I have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.
- I am pregnant or breastfeeding.
- I am allergic to the study medications.
- I have had a major heart event in the last 60 days.
- I have a history of major organ disease.
- I have severe heart disease.
- I cannot give written consent to join the study.
- I have recently used drugs or alcohol.
