- I have new onset of sepsis within the last 48 hours
- I can provide signed consent
- I can take oral medications
- I am willing to follow study instructions
You may not be able to join if
- I have used SGLT2 inhibitors in the last 12 weeks
- I have impaired kidney function
- I am clinically unstable or have low blood pressure
- I have a history of ketoacidosis
- I have had gastrointestinal surgery
- I am pregnant
- I am allergic to SGLT2 inhibitors
- I have taken another investigational drug in the last 30 days

About This Trial
Goal of this clinical trial is to examine the safety and efficacy of SGLT2 inhibitors on the clinical outcomes in patients with sepsis. Main study outcomes are as follows:

Inclusion Criteria:
* Aged 18 years or above
* New onset of sepsis within 48 hours defined according to the Sepsis-3 criteria. (≥2 SOFA)
* Provision of signed and dated informed consent form from participant or surrogate
* Ability to take and adhere to oral and enteral medication regimen
