Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for veterans aged 18-65 who have experienced suicidal thoughts. Participants will learn how to manage their brain activity with real-time feedback while receiving mental health treatment.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

You may be able to join if

  • I am a U.S. military veteran between 18-65 years old.
  • I have a score of 10 or more on the Suicide Rumination Scale.
  • I am stable on my mental health medications.
  • I am engaged in mental health care treatment.
  • I can give written consent.
  • I have a negative pregnancy test on MRI scan days.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have a major medical or neurological disorder that could interfere with treatment.
  • I have had a moderate or severe traumatic brain injury.
  • I am at imminent risk of suicide.
  • I have a current psychotic disorder.
  • I have any MRI contraindications.
  • I have a moderate or severe substance use disorder for any substance other than cannabis or alcohol.
  • I am pregnant or trying to become pregnant.

About This Trial
Few treatments target core features of suicidal thoughts and behaviors in Veterans.
