This trial is looking for adults aged 18-65 who are having outpatient surgery. Participants will receive either scheduled or as needed pain medication after their procedure to see which works better for controlling pain.
You may be able to join if
- I am aged between 18 and 65
- I am having outpatient surgery at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center
- I can take the standard pain medication after my surgery
You may not be able to join if
- I have fibromyalgia or chronic pain
- I have cancer, except for breast cancer
- I take chronic pain medications
- I am not fluent in English
- I have stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease or higher
