Inclusion Criteria:
* Patients ageing between 35-65 years;
* Patients with a diagnosis of metabolic syndrome according to the criteria of IDF 2005
Exclusion Criteria:
* Pregnant \& lactating female
* Use of insulin or sulfonamide derivative oral antidiabetic drugs
