This trial is looking for patients who have had surgery for a peroneal tendon injury. Participants will follow one of two recovery plans and complete some evaluations before and after the surgery.
You may be able to join if
- I have surgery for a peroneal tendon rupture or ligament injury.
You may not be able to join if
- I need extensive surgery like heel osteotomy.
- I have had previous surgery on the affected area.
- I have an injury in my other foot or leg that affects my movement.
- I have a neuromuscular disease.
- I have trouble understanding language.
- I am under 18 years old.

Check Your EligibilityPatients with surgery of a peroneal tendon injury in Gothenburg, Sweden, will be randomized to one of two different postoperative protocols. Before and after surgery the patients will perform biomechanical evaluation and also fill out questionnaires including PROMs. All evaluations will be performed on both limbs.
