Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for women between 2-6 months after giving birth who are experiencing sexual dysfunction. Participants will receive self-compassion training to help improve their sexual quality and marital relationship.

You may be able to join if

  • I can communicate verbally and do not have a literacy disability.
  • I live with my spouse.
  • I have started postpartum sexual intercourse and my menstrual cycle has not started.
  • I am between 2-6 months postpartum.
  • I have a healthy baby.
  • I have been diagnosed with sexual dysfunction.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have undergone gynecological surgery during the study.
  • I have been or am currently diagnosed with a psychiatric illness.
  • I have attended any awareness-based training at least 6 months ago.

Sexual function in the postpartum period, the gateway to newness and change, can be affected by problems such as caring for a new baby, breastfeeding, fatigue, anxiety about pain during sexual intercourse, postpartum depression, pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary symptoms and body image.
