Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for children aged 4 to 9 with certain untreated cavities in their back teeth. Participants will need to have their parents agree and sign consent to take part in this study.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

You may be able to join if

  • I am a child between the ages of 4 and 9
  • I have at least one untreated cavity in my primary molars
  • I do not have a history of spontaneous pain from my teeth
  • I can cooperate to complete the treatment
  • I do not expect my primary teeth to fall out within two years
  • I am healthy and do not have serious medical conditions

You may not be able to join if

  • I do not have my parents' consent to participate
  • I have an allergy to silver or dental materials
  • I have special health care needs or medical conditions
  • My primary molar teeth are too damaged to be restored
  • There is significant bone loss around my teeth
  • My teeth have had root canal or pulpotomy treatment
  • My teeth have root resorption or fractures
  • My teeth are mobile or have ankylosis
