This trial is looking for extremely preterm infants born between 23 to 27 weeks of gestation. It aims to find out if using a lower amount of platelet transfusion helps improve survival without major bleeding.
You may be able to join if
- I was born between 23 and 27 weeks of gestation
- I am less than 48 hours old
You may not be able to join if
- I am receiving comfort care or my care is being withdrawn
- I have a bleeding disorder or thrombocytopenia
- I have already received a platelet transfusion
- I have not received Vitamin K
- My parents or guardian do not agree to my participation
