Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for patients with metastatic prostate cancer who are resistant to usual treatments. Participants will take a new drug called (R)-9bMS to see how safe and effective it is.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

You may be able to join if

  • I have been diagnosed with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer.
  • I have evidence of metastatic disease shown on imaging tests.
  • I am currently undergoing androgen deprivation therapy or have had surgical castration.
  • My testosterone levels are 50 ng/dL or less.
  • I have progressive prostate cancer with rising PSA levels.
  • I have previously received treatment with at least one hormonal agent.
  • I am at least 18 years old.
  • I can sign an informed consent document.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have taken any small molecule kinase inhibitor in the last 14 days.
  • I have a variant of prostate cancer that is not adenocarcinoma.
  • I cannot swallow pills.
  • I need systemic treatment with corticosteroids or immunosuppressive medications.
  • I have another active cancer that requires treatment.
  • I am currently taking any other investigational drugs.
  • I have had a blood transfusion in the last 28 days.
  • I have known brain metastases unless treated and stable.
