This trial is looking for adults with type 2 diabetes who are willing to try a new stem cell treatment. Participants will receive injections of umbilical cord stem cells that may help improve blood sugar levels.
You may be able to join if
- I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
- I am between 30 and 75 years old.
- I understand the purpose of the trial and agree to participate.
- My BMI is between 20 and 30.
- My glycated hemoglobin is between 7.5% and 10%.
- I have been injecting insulin for more than six months.
- I am willing to use effective contraception during the trial.
You may not be able to join if
- I have type 1 diabetes or other special types of diabetes.
- I have severe allergies to anything used in cell treatment.
- I have had a serious heart or brain issue in the past 6 months.
- I have liver or kidney dysfunction based on blood tests.
- I have an active infection that needs treatment.
- I have been treated with antibiotics in the last 3 months.
- I have received live vaccines in the last 4 weeks.
- I have a history of substance abuse in the past 5 years.
