Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for Latino caregivers over 18 who provide hands-on care for a relative with dementia. Participants will receive helpful text messages and fill out questionnaires about their caregiving experience and emotional health.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

You may be able to join if

  • I am over 18 years old.
  • I identify as Latino.
  • I provide care for a relative with dementia.
  • I can read and write.
  • I speak Spanish and/or English.
  • I have a cell phone that I use for texting at least once a week.
  • I have a score of 7 or higher on a depression screening test.
  • My relative has a cognitive impairment score of 2 or higher.

You may not be able to join if

  • I am participating in another clinical trial related to wellbeing.
  • I live with another participant in this study.
  • I provide care for someone with dementia already cared for by another participant.
  • I plan to move to another country within the next seven months.

About This Trial
The goal of this randomized clinical trial it to test the efficacy of CuidaTEXT, the first Alzheimer's disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) caregiver support intervention to capitalize on text messaging, among Latinos.
