This trial is looking for people having laparoscopic surgery on their liver, gallbladder, or pancreas. Participants will receive different types of pain relief treatment after their surgery.

You may be able to join if

  • I am between 18 and 80 years old.
  • I am classified as ASA Level I-III which means my health is stable.
  • I am scheduled for laparoscopic hepatobiliary pancreatic surgery.

You may not be able to join if

  • My body mass index (BMI) is 30 or higher or 15 or lower.
  • I have a history of alcohol or drug abuse.
  • I have previously had upper abdominal surgery.
  • I have a bleeding disorder.
  • I have a local or systemic infection.
  • I have peripheral neuropathy.
  • I cannot understand the research plan.
