This trial is looking for adults aged 18-70 with diabetes who have failed islet function. Participants will receive a treatment combining stem cells and islet transplantation.

You may be able to join if

  • I have diabetes as per the World Health Organization criteria.
  • I am between 18 and 70 years old.
  • I have failed islet function with specific C-peptide and HbA1c levels.
  • I have type 1 or type 2 diabetes needing islet transplantation.
  • I consent to participate in this study.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have uncontrolled diabetic ketoacidosis.
  • I have a severe allergy with no clear cause.
  • My BMI is below 14 or above 35.
  • I have severe anemia.
  • I am HIV positive or have active viral hepatitis.
  • I have had acute pancreatitis or serious heart or lung disease.
  • I have gestational diabetes or other specific kinds of diabetes.
  • I have a mental illness or substance abuse issue.

Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria: 1. Meets the 1999 World Health Organization diagnostic criteria for diabetes. 2. Aged 18-70, no gender restriction. 3. Islet function failure: fasting C-peptide \< 0.1 nmol/L, 2-hour postprandial C-peptide \< 0.2 nmol/L, and HbA1c ≥ 7%. 4. Meets the indications for islet transpl…
