Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for parents of children with cancer to take part in a program that helps improve communication about care goals. Participants will watch videos and share their thoughts to help make better decisions for their child's treatment.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

You may be able to join if

  • I have a child aged 0-12 years.
  • My child has been diagnosed with any type of cancer.
  • My child is receiving treatment for cancer.
  • I am the decision maker for my child.
  • I am a biological parent, step-parent, legal guardian, or grandparent.
  • I can communicate in English or Spanish.

You may not be able to join if

  • My child is not receiving primary care from the cancer clinic.
  • My child has already been fully consulted by the palliative care team.
  • My child's doctors expect them to live less than two months.
  • I am visually impaired beyond 20/200 corrected and cannot view videos.
  • My mental health is not suitable for these discussions, as determined by my child's oncologist.
  • I do not speak English or Spanish.
