This trial is looking for stroke survivors to test a device called HandMATE that helps with hand rehabilitation. Participants will use the device both in the clinic and at home and will have their upper limb abilities assessed.
You may be able to join if
- I am 21 years or older
- I have had a stroke more than 6 months ago
- I can move my hand voluntarily
- I have good cognitive function
- I have difficulty opening my affected hand
You may not be able to join if
- I have hemispatial neglect
- I have severe sensory loss
- I am currently taking antispasticity medications
- I have limited passive motion in my finger joints
- I am receiving physical or occupational therapy outside this study
- I have excessive pain in any joint of my affected arm

Check Your EligibilityThe goal of this study is to evaluate the HandMATE device's effectiveness in the rehabilitation of stroke patients and asses if the HandMATE application is received well by stroke survivors. Participants will use the HandMate device in clinic and in the home. They will also complete clinical upper extremity assessments.
