This trial is looking for people aged 50 to 84 who were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes within the last 6 months. Participants will attend three visits over a year, provide blood samples, and fill out an anxiety questionnaire at each visit.
You may be able to join if
- I am 50 to 84 years old
- I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes within the last 6 months
- I can provide up to 30 mL of blood at each study visit
- I can have an MRI or CT scan
- I understand the study process and will sign consent
You may not be able to join if
- I was diagnosed with diabetes more than 6 months ago
- I have a history of pancreatic cancer or pancreatitis
- I am currently under investigation for pancreatic cancer
- I have had any major surgery requiring anesthesia in the last 3 months
- I have had any cancer in the past 3 years
- I have used steroids in the last 3 months
- I have had a blood transfusion in the last month
- I am currently pregnant
