Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for men aged 50 and older with symptoms related to enlarged prostate. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either water vapor treatment (Rezum) or prostatic urethral lift (UroLift).

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

You may be able to join if

  • I am a male aged 50 or older
  • I have symptoms of an enlarged prostate
  • I have an International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) of 13 or higher
  • My prostate volume is between 30 and 80 ml

You may not be able to join if

  • I have a history or high suspicion of prostate cancer
  • I have a current urinary tract infection
  • I have severe urinary retention
  • I have had prostate surgery before
  • I am known or suspected to be allergic to nickel, titanium, polyester, or polypropylene
  • I have issues like urethral stricture or bladder neck contracture
  • I have neurogenic bladder or sphincter problems

About This Trial

This is a randomized controlled trial using a non-inferiority design with the subjects randomized 1:1 to either water vapour thermal treatment (REZUM) arm or prostatic urethral lift (UroLift) arm.
