This trial is looking for patients aged 14 to 64 with hip problems caused by cartilage damage. Participants must have tried other treatments but still need surgery to fix their hips.
You may be able to join if
- I am between 14 and 64 years old.
- I have hip pain that has lasted for at least 3 months.
- I have tried at least 6 weeks of other treatments without success.
- I have a specific type of cartilage damage confirmed by an MRI.
- I have completed an assessment that shows my hip joint space is wide enough.
- I am physically healthy enough for surgery.
- I understand the study and agree to participate.
- I am available for follow-up visits for 5 years after the surgery.
You may not be able to join if
- I currently use nicotine in any form.
- I have diabetes.
- I have used steroids in the last 3 months.
- I have a serious health condition that limits activity.
- I have current cancer, except for non-melanoma skin cancer.
- I am pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
- I have a history of hip infections.
- I have any severe kidney problems.
