Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for healthy children who recently lost lower primary molars. Participants will receive a new type of space maintainer to help keep their teeth in position until their permanent teeth grow in.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

You may be able to join if

  • I am a healthy child who has lost lower primary molars recently.
  • My permanent teeth are not expected to come in within the next 6 months.
  • I have a normal bite with my remaining teeth.
  • I have teeth on both sides of the gap where the primary molars were.
  • I do not have habits like teeth grinding or conditions like crossbite.
  • I have a dentist who confirmed that my permanent teeth are present.
  • My parents and I agree to try this new treatment.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have poor oral hygiene.
  • I have habits like teeth grinding.
  • I have severe crowding or lost space in my mouth.
  • I had my primary molars removed more than three months ago.
  • My dentist has said that my permanent teeth are not present.
  • I am not a cooperative child.
