Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for older adults aged 60 to 95 who are physically independent and want to improve their muscle strength. Participants will visit a lab once a week for three weeks to do leg press exercises and answer questions about their motivation and effort during the workouts.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

You may be able to join if

  • I am between 60 and 95 years old.
  • I live independently.
  • I have not been diagnosed with severe mental impairment.
  • I scored 4 or greater on the SARC-F sarcopenia questionnaire.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have participated in a structured resistance training program in the last 12 months.
  • I have had a lower limb injury or surgery in the past 6 months.
  • I have a neuromuscular condition like Parkinson's Disease or Multiple Sclerosis.
  • I have circulatory problems or edema.
