This trial is looking for adults with lung cancer who are having surgery. Participants will receive an inhaled medication to see if it helps prevent problems with their lungs after surgery.

You may be able to join if

  • I am over 18 years old
  • I have lung cancer that can be treated with surgery
  • I have not used long-term inhaled medications before
  • I am at high risk for lung complications after surgery

You may not be able to join if

  • I do not want to participate
  • I am pregnant
  • I require emergency surgery
  • I have a serious illness (WHO IV or ASA ≥ IV)
  • I have asthma
  • I have severe heart failure or unstable heart disease
  • I have had a stroke in the past 3 months
  • I am currently in another trial for a different medication
