This trial is looking for adults with certain types of arthritis to test how different amounts of exercise affect their symptoms. Participants will engage in either 45, 90, or 150 minutes of physical activity each week.
You may be able to join if
- I am 18 years or older
- I have been diagnosed with arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, lupus, or fibromyalgia
- I can read and write in English
You may not be able to join if
- I have any conditions that prevent me from exercising besides arthritis
- I currently exercise more than 45 minutes a week at a moderate to vigorous level
- I am pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant in the next year
- I am planning to move out of the Columbia, SC area in the next 12 months
- I do not have a device compatible with Fitbit
- I have uncontrolled high blood pressure
- I plan to have surgery affecting my mobility in the next 12 months
- I have serious cognitive impairment
